If you are in the latter category, get real! The most difficult thing about computers is typing. Schools should by now have courses in typing and computing; but they don't always. Essentially all professional people in academia, journalism, the media, now need to type, use word processing and browse the Internet. Learn now and avoid unemployment later! If you don't already know how, there are teach-yourself typing books and free downloadable typing tutor software available.
If you don't know how to download software from the internet, learn! (In a few mouse-strokes, you will have your program).
It is REALLY worthwhile learning to use computers NOW, while at UCL (far more important, even, than BIOL 2007!). This TRANSFERABLE skill is essential in the third year for projects, and later on, in real life. UCL facilities are free -- demand them, as part of your undergraduate education!
