Isotype : IgM,

Origin, source : Mice were immunised with a ynthetic peptide (20µg/doses) coupled to  KLH ( Keyhole limpet hemacyanin). The peptide of 14 amino acids (RPLHSYRQQLELPC)  is located in the C-Terminal part of  the MUC6 protein.  The fusion was performed with the P3 myeloma cell line.

Cross-reactivity :  On going experiments.

Binding Assays : The EU-MUC6a recognises specifically the MUC6 gastric mucin.

Immunohistochemistry:
Results of immunohistochemistry experiments performed in Carme De Bolos's lab :
The expriments were performed on parrafin embedded sections.
Reductiobn was not used but antigen retrival (0.01M Sodium Citrate pH:6; 5-10 min; 100ºC ) was perfomred.

Inhibition assays: The EU_MUC6a reactivity was inhibited by MUC6 gastric mucin.
