Name : CLH5                                    monoclonal anti MUC6

Literature references :

J Histochem Cytochem. 2000 Mar;48(3):377-88.

Isotype : IgG1

Origin, source : Mice were immunised with a synthetic peptide (SFQTTTTYPTPSHPQTTLPC) conjugated with KLH correspoding to a part of  the MUC6 tandem repeat. The fusion was perfomed with the NS-1 myeloma cells. The mouse sera was tested by ELISA, immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.

Specificity : The CLH5 monoclonal antibody reacts with the peptide and recognises mucin extracted from gastric mucosa on Western blotting. The antibody shows a stronger reactivity after deglycosylation.

Cross-reactivity : CLH5 shows no cross-reactivity with other mucin peptides on ELISA.

Immunoblotting : The CLH5 antibody gives a positive signal with mucin extracted from gastric mucosa, the signal is stronger after deglycosylation.
