Origin, source : Rabbits were immunised with a synthetized peptide coupled with a carrier, the KLH ( Keyhole Limpet Hemacyanin). The peptide of 14 amino acid (RPLHSYEQQLELPC) is located in the carboxy terminal region and precisely in the CK domain of the MUC6 mucin.
Cross-reactivity : No cross reactivity was observed with blood group substances ( A, LeA) obtained from ovarian cyst fluid.
Binding Assays : The Lum6-3 antibody recognizes the purified protein on ELISA assays.
