Ann Gibbons of Ardagh near Newport County Mayo, applied to the Commissioners and travelled to London in pursuit of the compensation for the enslaved people on Rosemount in St Andrew Jamaica. Author of a vivid Memorial setting out her claims as widow of Peter Gibbons.
