John Jameson

Assignee of Robert Hyndman (q.v.) and John Elliott Hyndman.

John Jameson had a number of other counterclaims, all apparently unsuccessful, arising from the Hyndman bankruptcy. See Antigua claim nos. 75, 95, 261 and 390.

1. John Elliott Hyndman (c. 1797-1859) was Grand Secretary to the Grand Lodge of Ireland. Robert (presumably John Elliott's father and the husband of Catherine Elliott) and John Elliott Hyndman appear on the list for Jan 1831-Jan 1832 of 'Bankruptcies and Bankrupts in Ireland' in the Return in the Parliamentary Papers 1833 (293).
