Palaeography: | Macalister/1909, 43, comments on Petrie's transcription: `probably incorrectly copied'. CISP: In spite of Macalister's concern it seems that the inscription was in Insular half-uncial. The A is in the 'OC' form and the L appears to have a wedge-shaped finial. The Rs are majuscule and the T is half-uncial with a curved ascender and a flat top-stroke. The E is in the closed minuscule form. |
