Sofia De Martin is a student in the 2022-23 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Sofia just graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Economics. During her time in Edinburgh, she enjoyed exploring the food scene of the city and cooking dinners for her friends. Growing up in Italy and Sweden, Sofia experienced two different views of the role of government which sparked her interest in Economics and Public Purpose. This inspired her undergraduate dissertation in which she developed her own theoretical model by adding the public sector and showing its role in fostering a more inclusive economic growth. Sofia is incredibly excited to conduct more work in the area as part of this MPA and specifically to find her refined area of interest through the offered placement.
