Jeremy Heere is a stereotypical high school geek. Every day he fawns over Christine – the girl he knows he has no hope with – and hangs out with his videogame bud, Michael. One day, he learns of ‘The Squip’; a pill sized-supercomputer that may guide him to whatever he desires: becoming the coolest guy in class. Unfortunately, Jeremy soon learns getting what you want might not be so simple as he thinks…

This is an amateur, student-created production of Be More Chill, put on by UCL Musical Theatre Society. This is a family-friendly, high-school comedy with a sci-fi edge, featuring a pop-rock score perfect for this high-octane premise. Our production has drawn from contemporary hits such as ‘Black Mirror’ on the use of AI to provide a fresh take on this energetic musical.
