Project title: The Search for Dark Matter with the world-leading LZ Experiment
Research Group: High Energy Physics
Supervisor(s): Prof Chamkaur Ghag
Introduction:
I obtained an MSci in Physics with Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London, where I completed my master’s project within the string theory group. My interest in machine learning and data-intensive science began during a summer research placement at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, where I investigated the use of ML techniques for gravitational wave detection.
Project description:
I work on the LZ direct dark matter detector, utilising computational techniques to explore and understand the vast dataset collected by the detector.
First year group project: The Guardian
