Linghui joined EPICentre in 2015 after she finished her MSc in Earthquake Engineering with Disaster Management at University College London. Her research project mainly focus on the improved structure performance after seismic retrofitting. Fragility curves will be developed after applying strengthening measures on different structure typologies based on the data from Chinese post-earthquake surveys and retrofit programs. The seismic performance of the retrofitted structures will be quantified and compared with the performances of the original structure, taking cost-effectiveness assessment to explicitly quantifying mitigation effectiveness which will help providing a more robust and efficient way for engineers, stakeholders and government officers to select the most suitable retrofit interventions to lower down the earthquake damage.
