Parents and carers
UCL has produced guidance on supporting working parents and carers. This includes guidance for line managers with case study examples and refers to relevant UCL policy and the Equality Act 2010, which has specific legal provisions that relate to staff with dependents. It also provides information on services available at UCL and links to external organisations.
You can access and download the guidance here.
You can find out more information about PACT (Parents and Carers Together) network here. PACT brings together parents and carers on one platform to address the needs of a diverse community.
Students
Information and advice for students or their partners who become pregnant during their course of study, or for students in the process of adopting, can be found on the pregnant students webpage. This links to support available at UCL, information on accommodation, access to UCL systems and facilities, and information on assessments and examinations.
