Area Facilities Management

We enable and facilitate the smooth running of the Estate and enhance the customer experience by overseeing campus operations.

Main responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate Estates activities to minimise disruption for building users.
  • Work with other Estates teams to find solutions for customers across the campus.
  • Report and investigate health and safety non-compliance.
  • Escalate longstanding issues to the relevant managers to find solutions.
  • Conduct specific audits related to Estates services.
  • Develop and manage effective customer communications.

Non-residential UCL buildings are in five zones: Central Bloomsbury, East Bloomsbury, West Bloomsbury, Outer Bloomsbury, and Satellite Estate.

Each zone has an Area Facilities Manager who works with Facilities Managers. Together, they support building users and Estates activities.
