World Mental Health Day - Wellbeing courses for all staff

All staff are invited to join our online live workshops on Workplace Mental Health this autumn, starting 14 October. Topics include Mental Health Awareness, Resilience, Stress Reduction, and more. Find out more and register for events below.

To mark World Mental Health Day, the UCL Organisational Development team is launching a series of 12 online live sessions focused on improving mental health in the workplace.

Open to all staff, we offer a range of 1-hour, 2-hour, and 4-hour sessions delivered by our expert partners:

  • Looking after your Mental Health - Monday 14 October, 1pm - 2pm 
    This session will cover a brief understanding of emotional health and some top tips and tools to look after our mental health.
  • Mental Health Awareness - Tuesday 22 October, 2pm - 4pm 
    Build a better understanding of what ‘mental health’ means to us, become familiar with the key signs and symptoms to look out for in ourselves and our colleagues, and learn where to find support for yourself and others.
  • Building Personal Resilience - Wednesday 23 October, 2pm - 3pm
    Gain an understanding of emotional resilience and some tips for building our resilience.
  • Enabling Psychological Safety - Wednesday 13 November, 10am - 12pm
    Understand what grows or diminishes safety in meetings, teams and groups. Discover the indicators that reveal there is low safety and learn practical things you can do to increase psychological safety in your workplace.
  • Reducing Stress - Monday 25 November, 1pm - 2pm
    Learn to recognise the signs of stress and gain some tips for reducing our level of stress.
  • Leading Wellbeing Conversations - Wednesday 4 December, 10am - 2pm
    Aimed at line managers, this half day session is designed to give an overview of the mental health and wellbeing issues you may face in the workplace, offer guidance for connecting with colleagues who may be experiencing wellbeing issues, and provide practical tools for promoting positive wellbeing.
  • Stress Awareness - Thursday 5 December, 2pm - 4pm
    Explore what causes us stress and how we may respond. Gain an increased awareness of how to reduce stress and how to support others, and learn tips to manage our stress levels.
  • Looking after your Mental Health - Monday 9 December, 10am - 11am
    A repeat of the session from 14 October, gain an understanding of emotional health and some top tips and tools to look after our mental health.
