We have set up the MS Research Database (MSRD) to enable us to keep details of people who would like to know more about the research we do. By completing the registration form which has a small number of questions we are able to contact you if your details match research projects we are recruiting to.
We periodically send out newsletters about our research.
When we have a new project we review the inclusion / exclusion criteria against people on the MSRD to see who may match them, however this is not an indication that they are eligible but a starting point.
So what happens next?:
Some or all of these things subject to permission having been given
We would check medical notes
Speak to consultants about patients
Send out information about the project for people to review
Call people to get information updated or more specific information
If you still match the criteria we would discuss the project over the phone or invite you to QSMSC to discuss or for a screening visit.
