How do I book?

Courses can be booked via our online training calendar.

How often are courses scheduled?

Courses are scheduled before the start of each term. If a course isn’t currently showing in the schedule, it has already happened that term. Join the mailing list to be notified when it is next scheduled. 

What if the course is fully booked?

If a course is fully booked you will be given the opportunity to join the waiting list. You will be added to the course if spaces become available. Those left on the waiting list will be notified when the course is next scheduled.

How do I add the training to my Outlook calendar?

When you book a course you will receive a confirmation email. Attached to the email will be an .ics calendar file. 
To add this event to your Outlook calendar:
1. Open the .ics file attached to the email
2. Click 'Yes' to any dialogue boxes that appear
3. When the Outlook calendar invite opens, add your email to 'Required' and then Send Update

How do I cancel my place?

Confirmation emails and reminder emails (sent three days before the session) both contain a link to cancel your place. 

Attending courses

On what platform do online courses take place?

Our online courses take place on Microsoft Teams.

Where does in person training happen?

In person training takes place in Public Cluster rooms on the Bloomsbury campus. The exact location is on the course page, confirmation and reminder emails as well as calendar invites.

Do I need to bring my laptop to in person training?

In person training takes place in Public Cluster rooms on the Bloomsbury Campus. Computers will be available for you to use in the room. 

Can I access the materials in advance?

Yes, all materials are held on our Sharepoint site

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided.

Do you provide certificates of attendance?

We do not provide certificates of attendance.

Bespoke training

Can you run a training course for a specific group of staff or students?

Depending on availability, we are able to run our courses on a bespoke basis. Please contact isd-digiskills@ucl.ac.uk to enquire.
