UCL Laws is committed to ensuring the UCL community is inclusive and open to all, regardless of one’s gender identity or sexual orientation.
OutLaws
Since 2017, UCL Laws has supported a LGBT+ staff-student network, named OutLaws. This group organises a variety of LGBT+ events each year, such as research seminars, careers networking, social events, mooting competitions and more. Any students or staff in UCL Laws who are interested in joining the mailing list are invited to email laws-outlaws-join@ucl.ac.uk. It does not matter what you write in the body or subject line of the subscription email.
OutLaws events
You can watch a recording below of an OutLaws event on 'Queer Refugees, Western Stereotypes, and the Denial of International Persecution Protection'.
Out@UCL
Out @ UCL wish to create an inclusive environment where LGBTQ+ staff, students and visitors can be themselves, which includes feeling comfortable enough to be out. We’re doing this by asking people to become a ‘Friend’ of Out@UCL.
UCL Trans Network
The UCL Trans Network is an informal network for staff and students at UCL who identify as trans, including non-binary, genderqueer and all other identities not identical with the gender assigned at birth. It is a space for trans students and staff to connect and find peer support across UCL - join via Microsoft Teams.
