Claim by G.H. Ames and Wm Hartman, trustees under will of E.F. Akers. Counterclaims from Jane Akers of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, widow and the Rev. Richard Warde of Yalding, Kent, executrix and executor of Aretas Akers and Aretas Akers son and heir of said Aretas Akers, mortgagees and residuary legatee £7500 with interest at 6 per cent from 01/08/1834. Counterclaims also from Baillies of Bristol as mortgagees; Nevile Reid and John Dixon of Fenchurch St, London; William Day of 55 Lincolns Inn Fields, Barrister at law, assignee of a legacy of £1000.

See Caribbeana Vol v p 313 for the will of Aretas [sic] Akers of Holles St. 09/06/1814. £1400 p.a. to widow Jane, £10,000 to each of daughters, £15,000 to younger son, £25,000 to eldest son. 'My son Aretas not to be educated at public school except to a University'. Will called for suit in chancery to be instituted. Edmund F. Akers was the brother of Aretas Akers senior, Edmund F. Akers's children to inherit after Aretas Akers's children.
