T71/887: counterclaim from Francis Baring, Humphrey St John Mildmay, Joshua Bates, Thomas Baring and John Baring, merchants under the firm Baring Bros., under a deed of assignment dated 18/11/1807 to the creditors of Burrill Carnes and Edward Carnes (of Boston, merchants, T71/1259). Two other counterclaims under the same assignment, from Henry Bromfield (given as 'Henry Bloomfield', of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, T71/1259) and Caspar Voght. (of Hamburgh).
T71/1610: letter, dated 28/04/1836 from Thos. Daniel & Co. and Charles Cave, stating: the proprietor has asked us the exact amount of compensation. 1834 signatory as proprietor of Spring Garden and for the heirs of P. Benjamin, holders of mortgages on the plantations La Penitence and Patrizia [?].
T71/433 p. 1675: Charles Benjamin registered 76 enslaved persons on Spring Garden estate.
