In 1802 the Upper Mont Rose sugar estate in St Patrick of 259 acres, and the Herbert's Point or Lower Mont Rose cotton estate adjoining it of a further 270 acres, were advertised to be 'peremptorily sold' together with the Building, Live and dead stock, negroes and other slaves. Particulars were available from John Campbell sen. in Glasgow, Messr Smiths of Basinghall Street in London and Alexander Campbell jun. of Grenada.
