Notes |
This group of enslaved people were the property of John Williams, who had previously owned Twickenham Park estate in St Ann. At some point between 1826 and 1829, the majority of these enslaved people were levied upon under writs venditioni Benjamin Scott vs. John Williams and sold by Deputy Marshal J A Kennedy; some were delivered to John William Jnr. and to Thomas Williams. It's not clear what happened to the land, but the c. 30 enslaved people he was left with formed this group and were registered on Cottage estate in St Ann in the later almanacs and slave registers. |
