1777
[Name] Johann de Bolas
In his will dated 1777 (sworn in Jamaica that same year and proved in London in 1783), Sir Simon Clarke 7th bart. stipulated that his mortgage on Juan de Bolas be foreclosed and the estate sold. The executors were to purchase the estate should they think it an 'eligible purchase'. His nephews Simon Fleming Begg and John Begg and his niece Mary Begg were to be given legacies on the condition that they relinquish all claim to the estate as a result of the wills of their late grandfather Sir Simon Clarke and their late mother Ann Clarke.
