Son of Rev. John Clunie Minister of Borthwick and Mary Oliphant, born 21/03/1798. In St Thomas-in-the-Vale Jamaica by 1822. 1830 overseer of Tulloch estate of George Gun Munro of Poyntzfield in the Black Isle Scotland and his wife Jemima Charlotte née Graham, who had inherited the estate in 1820 on death of first husband Francis Graham (1778-1820).
RDClunie died after 1849 (he was residuary devisee of his brother Lt-Col James Oliphant Clunie, Companion of the Bath in a will dated 29/11/1849).
