Counterclaimed apparently unsuccessfully through a 'memorial' on two awards in British Guiana, both of which involved the Urquhart family. In one he was described as mortgagee and in the other as trustee. He has not yet been further traced: he must be distinct from the Joshua Ogle of Demerara who died in 1821.
T71/1610 letter from Williamsons re British Guiana no. 1743 and a potential claim on Pleasing Hope: our client, Mr Ogle 'is a mere trustee, and his residence in this country will account for his want of knowledge in this matter.'
