Biography

Awarded part of the compensation for Water Valley in St Mary Jamaica with the London solicitor Robert Spiller Wadeson and Arthur Rider (each of whom q.v.), probably as trustees of the marriage settlement of a daughter of Mary Sarah Nasmyth (q.v.).

  1. Tentatively identified as Edmund Rowe Danson, a wholesale ironmonger of Gracechurch Street who with his partner Robert Johnston went bankrupt in 1840. Danson and his wife Sarah had baptised four children at St Marylebone or St Mary Abbotts Kensington between 1834 and 1840. In the 1841 census, the family was living at Millbrook Hampshire with 5 children, Edmund aged 40 and Sarah aged 25.
