Glasgow merchant, partner in Gray Roxburgh (q.v.), and awarded with co-partners the compensation for the Friendship estate in Trinidad and another smaller award there.

James Thomas Brown[e] was not shown as a partner by the time Gray Roxburgh was subject to sequestration in 1848.

  1. There is only one death for a James Thomas Brown in Scotland between 1835 and 1880: that of James Thomas Brown of Auchlochan who died 28/10/1880 age 75 in Logie, Perthshire, single, age 75, the son of Thomas Brown of Auchlochan and his wife Martha Merton Brown née Daniel.
