Benjamin Alleyne

Claimed unsuccessfully with Francis N.B. Alleyne (q.v.) for the compensation for the Sherwood Park and Culloden estate on Tobago.

1. The Benjamin Alleyne of Tobago (q.v.) whose will was proved 24/05/1832 was the cousin of Benjamin Alleyne of Barbados, to whom he left £500 and to whose children he left a contingent interest in 1/4 of Sherwood Park. The claimant here could be the cousin, or could be a child of John George Alleyne (q.v.), the brother of Benjamin Alleyne of Tobago: under the latter's will, the children of John George Alleyne inherited 3/4 of the estate.
