UCL Transcripts and Degree Award Certificates

UCL Degree Award Certificates are issued centrally and the Medical School has no involvement. Information is published on UCL’s Award Certificates webpage.

Diploma Supplement and HEAR
A Diploma Supplement is used in the European Higher Education Area to provide information about academic qualifications, making it easier for employers and educational institutions to understand them. It's similar to a transcript but also includes details about the course of study, such as entrance criteria, goals, contents, nature, level, context, and status.
In the UK, some universities also issue a document called the ‘HEAR’ (Higher Education Achievements Report) which the European Commission confirmed as being compatible with the Diploma Supplement format. UCL has chosen to issue a HEAR alongside their e-transcript for most programmes but excluding the MBBS.
Students who need a Diploma Supplement or HEAR may request an MBBS Programme Summary by emailing medsch.studentrecordsmanager@ucl.ac.uk.
