Excavations at Qau

Brunton excavated at this site from 1922-1925, in conjunction with excavations at nearby Badari and Hemamieh by Brunton and Caton-Thompson. Petrie worked with Brunton in the second season at Qau; the graves with four digit numbers beginning with 7 were excavated by Petrie. The burials from Qau were published in the volumes Qau and Badari I-III by Brunton for the British School of Archaeology in Egypt in 1927-1930.
