Psychological aspects of old age in Ancient Egypt
Primary sources in contemporary society are oral, visual and written self-descriptions.
For Ancient Egypt there are limited visual and written references to the self in age, from the preserved writings.
Literary self-reflections on age belong by the type of composition not to the individual but to the social/cultural area.
Future research might examine personal documents and other materials attesting to persons known to be of a certain age.
