'Applied Art': New Kingdom (about 1550-1069 BC)
The New Kingdom might be called the 'classical period' for applied arts in Egypt. Many objects of daily use were decorated or worked in special shapes. Popular materials are bone, ivory, faience, calcite, glass and wood.
