Mentuhotep (II) Nebhetepre (about 2046-1995 BC)
King of the Eleventh Dynasty, and, by his reunification of Egypt, the first king of the Middle Kingdom (about 2025-1700 BC). He restored the unity of Egypt after it had been divided into competing kingdoms in the First Intermediate Period.
