Wooden writing board: UC 59419
date: Dynasty 18 (about 1550 - 1292 BC)
Writing board covered with plaster, extremely fragile with severe loss across surface: enough survives of four lines of hieratic writing on better preserved side to identify contents as a 'formula for good health', here a religious composition to ward off danger (in form of biting snakes etc.) from a person (cast as Osiris); right ends of lines effaced in antiquity; clear plastic box stored alongside contains many loose fragments.
