Greek Ostracon: UC 32039
In the first century of Arab rule, Greek language and script were still used
in administration, as they had been in the Byzantine Period.
Greek ostracon on marl ware sherd with cream slip; tax receipt with 8 lines
of text preserved mentioning the title of the Arab governor of Egypt.
