Rifeh, the tomb of the two Brothers
(late Twelfth Dynasty; about 1850 BC)
Two objects from an undisturbed tomb of two men, excavated by Petrie; the tomb is fully published: Murray 1910. The tomb contained two sets of coffins (outer box and two inner anthropoid coffin), a canopic box with canopic jars, pottery and wooden models.
(The whole tomb group is now preserved in the Manchester Museum)
