Small research grants awarded

Smaller, locally led research projects on themes relating to one or more of the Nahrein Network’s five aims in fostering the sustainable development of history, heritage and the humanities

In 2018-21, the Nahrein Network funded many small research projects to address a range of urgent questions in Iraq and eastern Turkey. Almost all projects were led by local research teams with budgets in the range £10–£30,000.
