Pablo is working as a post-doctoral
fellow on the EPSRC funded project on "Crystal Growth of Nanoporous
Materials". He got his B.S. in Geology and Ph D in Geochemistry at the
University of Oviedo (Spain). As part of his Ph. D. formation he spent
six months at LMTG lab in Toulouse working under the supervision of Dr.
Eric H. Oelkers on carbonate dissolution and precipitation kinetics. He
also spent two months working at the Institute for Mineralogy at the
University of Meunster with Dr. Andrew Putnis where he performed AFM
studies on metal-carbonate growth.
After finishing his Ph D he spent
one year as a Postdoc at Wright State University, Dayton, (Ohio)
working with Dr. Steve Higgins in Friction Force Microscopy studies on
carbonates and AFM development.
