Cancer breakthroughs saved 30,000 young lives in last 50 years

Data for children under 15 shows that between 1971 and 1975, only 36% of those diagnosed with cancer in Britain survive for 10 years but now it is 80%, which is “truly astounding,” says Dr Marc Mansour (UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health).
