The National Student Survey
9 December 2015
Every year, all final year undergraduates across the UK are invited to take a short survey about their experiences of university.
It takes about five minutes to complete, and if 75% of the students in your department fill it in, we'll give the department a generous reward for them to spend entirely on you and your fellow final year students. Last year, some students spent the money on an after-graduation party, and others spent it on hoodies for the whole year group.
The NSS mainly focuses on your academic experiences, and asks, among other things, about the quality of your teaching, feedback on your work, the academic support that you received and how you would rate the library.
It is used to tell universities what's working well and what needs improvement, as well as to inform future students about courses and universities.
Last year, more than 2,500 final year students at UCL filled in the NSS, and 83% told us that they were happy with their experiences here. To find out what else they said, go to our Student Surveys webpage.
To take the survey from 11 January, go to the National Student Survey website or search National Student Survey. For more information about the NSS at UCL, email the team at student.surveys@ucl.ac.uk.
