Library Transformation

The Library at UCL School of Pharmacy was refurbished in the summer of 2009. Following months of meticulous preparation and planning, the project was successfully completed on time and the new Library was open and ready for the start of the academic year.

The main door to the Library was moved to be adjacent to the main lecture theatre. Foyer space was increased and access to the Issue and Enquiry Desk was improved.

Books and back-runs of print journals were moved to rolling stacks, liberating space for improved access and study areas.

Study areas were transformed. Computer clusters were re-configured to accommodate group activity and study bays were re-designed to increase privacy, tranquility and comfort.
