Learning Environments MSc

Skills for the workplace

I studied MSc Learning Environments because I wanted to study a subject that resonates with my learning journey—the study of school design and its strategies. UCL offers this course that explores the interrelationships between learning and the physical and digital environments attracted me.

The reputation of UCL as a world-class global university enhances employability prospects. Additionally, I learnt a range of hard and soft skills that enable me to navigate the professional environment.

The course was constantly changing my perspective and offered a lot of opportunities to learn from experts in planning, architecture, and digital space, as well as to gain exposure by visiting various educational spaces, workplaces, and healthcare facilities.

UCL Global Experience Scholarship

The most interesting experience I had was receiving the UCL Global Experience Scholarship to study abroad at Esade Business School this summer.

It was quite rare for a university to offer short-term mobility opportunities for master’s students to study abroad.

It was an absolutely fantastic experience! I benefited from interacting with many great students and experienced a different teaching style in Spain.

The summer experience played a pivotal role in shaping both my degree and career path.

The benefits of networking

Entering the field of built environment and construction has been a completely new experience for me. This journey has been challenging yet fun and incredibly rewarding.

Studying in a diverse and metropolitan city has provided numerous opportunities to learn from and interact with experts in built environments and peers from various backgrounds.

The program provided exposure to a multicultural learning environment and the opportunity to engage with peers, leading researchers and guest speakers. These experiences taught me the importance of developing interdisciplinary approaches to solving complex problems.

The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment offer regular postgraduate career networking events with alumni and industry professionals which provided me with insights into the built environments industry. I also attended employer-led skills workshops that helped me understand the key skills that employers are looking for.

Gain knowledge. Gain advantage. Make your Master’s matter.
