Career plans

I studied Venture Capital and Private Equity with Financial Technology MSc. I am currently freelancing for education institutes in business development. I am also aiming for roles in equity research fields, as well as being passionate about business development. I want to contribute to the growth of companies that match my personal and professional values.

This was my second Master's. I have a lot of work experience, but there no such thing as too much education.

We are living in an era with enormous changes. Staying in the job market means having the intellectual flexibility to absorb quickly and easily and adapt when necessary.

Learning skills for the workplace

The Master’s programme had a diverse and engaging curriculum, with each module offering fresh insights.

A key skill that I gained was exposing myself to coding and learning how to use that set of skills in the financial industry.

It is very important and relevant for our times, where everything is influenced by technology and artificial intelligence.

Networking and developing a growth mindset

The Master’s programme had a diverse and engaging curriculum, with each module offering fresh insights.

Being part of a global student community added a unique and enriching perspective to my time at UCL.

The most significant outcome of being within the UCL family is the cultivation of a growth mindset within myself—a commitment to continuous learning, that is a must for the time being.

There are plenty of UCL societies that hold very interesting networking events, such as the UCL Women in Finance Society.

My MSc programme held weekly industry events that covered a range of topics, and invited professionals and speakers from within the industry, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

For those inclined towards networking, London in general offers lots of opportunities. Almost every day, a variety of events in different fields take place throughout the city.

Although there's always a trade-off between study time and attending these events, with a bit of time management, one can effectively cultivate a network that can be very valuable for next career steps.

Studying in London

Being a student is always an extraordinary feeling. For me, being in front of the books feels magical, always. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of living in London.

The city blends modernity with its rich history in an organic manner. London's division into zones and neighbourhoods ensures an ever-changing experience, where each part of the city shares a unique character and vibe.

The people are remarkably respectful and friendly, and I've had the privilege of forming new friendships that contributed to both my professional and personal growth.

It is hard to limit myself to just three recommendations of things to do or see in London, but if I really had to choose, then they would be: breweries, for fresh beer lovers; parks, for passionate runners; and just randomly jumping on the tube to visit different neighbourhoods.
