MINES ParisTech – Centre for industrial economics (CERNA)

Cerna is the laboratory of industrial economics and finance of MINES ParisTech. It is made up of 9 teachers/researchers who work on the dynamics of companies and markets and on the economic and competitive effects of public policies. The research activities of CERNA are organised into three main fields: the economy, quantitative finance and the analysis of globalisation. Research projects are carried out as part of various partnerships with the academic world, companies or the public authorities, whether at national or international level.

The United Nations University – Maastricht Economic and social Research institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT)

UNU-MERIT is a joint research and training institute of United Nations University and Maastricht University, based in the south of the Netherlands. The institute explores the social, political and economic factors that drive technological innovation, with a particular focus on creation, diffusion and access to knowledge. Working with its School of Governance (MGSoG), UNU-MERIT covers all aspects of governance in domestic and global organisations, from risk assessment to policy analysis, design and evaluation. Overall the institute functions as a unique research centre and graduate school for around 100 PhD fellows and 100 Master’s students. It is also a UN think tank addressing a broad range of policy questions on science, innovation and democratic governance.

University of Wuppertal - The European Institute for International Economic Relations (EIIW)

The European Institute for International Economic Relations at the University of Wuppertal (EIIW) has expertise in international comparative studies with theoretical and empirical foundation or economic policy orientation. It was founded in 1995 in Potsdam: An Institute at the University of Potsdam. It was then relocated, while still having activities in Potsdam, in July 2003 to Wuppertal, where it resides as an institute of the University of Wuppertal.

The EIIW has headed more than a decade of international projects and studies on issues of EU enlargement, globalization, the digital economy and the dynamics of growth and structural policies and implemented. The EIIW is an independent and private affiliated institute. It is an intellectual hub between economics, business practices and economic policies, and provide a forum for critical analysis and source of economic and policy-relevant research findings.
