Willy Nabi – MA/MFA
Curriculum Vitae
Willy Nabi – MA/MFA
I’m interested in the mummy as a representation of love and I see the result of the mummification process as the point of departure to explore my own fictionalised ways of keeping a mummy alive through the comic, the absurd and the poetic. The mummy, in my work, is a symbol for my own “mummy”, weaving my own loss and identity with this ancient process, but it also stands as a metaphor for a being that is internally and physically confined.
