When I am visiting a museum, the sublimity of the work that I feel does not come from the work itself; this sense of sublimity is instead shaped by the rules of the museum. I intend to initiate a discussion on the essential meaning of museums and artworks. In my own pieces, displayed within a museum setting, I aim to explore how symbolic violence employs language, imagery, and symbols to communicate and perpetuate power dynamics.
