Turning Landscape into Colour is an investigation into the origins of earth pigments - ‘ochres’ found in landscapes across the UK that considers their significance as contemporary cultural materials.

Locating, mapping and extracting ochres from the landscape, and processing, manufacturing and naming individual sources of colour are explored as vehicles for re-integrating peoples experience of places and aims to establish new connections between landscape and painting.
