This Scholarship is open to UK nationals entering the undergraduate degree programme at the Slade School in alternate years. The value of the scholarship is around £2,000 per year, for the duration of the programme, subject to satisfactory academic progress. Awards are made every four years, beginning in 2018. This Scholarship alternates each year between a student at the Slade and a student at the Bartlett. It was awarded to a Slade student in 2023/24 and will be offered to the Slade in 25/26.

  • Number of Scholars: 1 every two academic years

Application Process

Timeline: Mid-April to early-June (Application usually opens after UCL central Admissions team sends out official offers.)
Form: An online application form will be shared with all eligible offer holders via email.

Selection Procedure

The Slade School of Fine Art will  be exclusively responsible for selecting the best and most deserving student candidate. UCL reserves the right not to make an award if, in its judgement, there is no suitable candidate.

Outcome

The Slade Teaching and Learning Office (TLO) will communicate the Slade Prizes Committee's decision with the selected scholars via email.

Payment

Payment will be processed by the OVPA when Slade TLO inform them the scholar details.  The fund will then link with the recipients' Student Record.
