DSD: Software for success: Survey tools
Course Description:

This session highlights the benefits of popular survey tools to assist in selecting one for data collection and research purposes

This session outlines key features of several popular survey tools (including MS Forms, REDCap, and Qualtrics), focusing on data requirements, ease of use, accessibility, and getting access.

It is not necessary to have previous experience of using survey tools. The session is not "hands-on". There will be time for participants to raise questions pertinent to their survey work, and priority will be on the selection of tools rather than technical. Anyone considering further training on REDCap and Qualtrics are encouraged to first take this session.

This is a two-hour session delivered remotely.

None.

Objectives:
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
  • Understand key features of some popular survey tools, their comparisons and available support
  • Understand compliance, e.g. GDPR and agreement with data provider
  • Analyse, publish and archive surveys.

This course is aimed at staff and students who want an overview of survey tools in order to make a decision on one that fits their survey requirements.
