Fundamentals in Research Funding Management - Self-Paced
Course Description: Fundamentals in Research Funding Management is an introductory post-award training course aimed at staff who support or hold externally funded Research and Innovation projects at UCL. The course is broken down into four easy digestible inter-active units: Setting out the funder landscape. Focus on new awards. Optimising funding in line with funder expectations. Managing the Unexpected.
Objectives: On this course you will learn to: Understand the importance of good research management Recognise when an award has been granted and how to get started Understand the importance of being familiar with Funders requirements Understand how to optimise research income and provide assurance to Funders of sound financial management Recognise the criticality of understanding the external perspective Raise awareness of complexity and risk factors Raise awareness of the importance of active change management
