Over the course of this academic year, we will be running three online parents conferences aimed at providing parents with all the information they need to support their child through to university.
We know how huge an impact parents have on a student’s decisions to pursue higher education. We have developed three parents’ conferences that will take place online throughout the year. These conferences are aimed at parents who have not attended university.

Date and Time: Wednesday 29 November 2023, 6 - 7pm
In this session, we will look in more detail at the application process, decision timelines, personal statement support, best ways to support your child with A level study and transition support. The session will cover:- Application process and decision timelines

- Year 12 - Your Child's Journey from 6th Form to University
Date and Time: Wednesday 31 January 2024, 6 - 7pm
In this session, we will be looking at an overview of A level study, the timelines, processes and application to university and transition to HE. The session will cover:- A timeline of your child's next two years
- University application process
- Cost & funding university
- Benefits of going to university
- Student support at UCL
- Tips & advice
- Q&A
- Year 13 - Student Funding
Date and Time: Wednesday 20 March 2024, 6 - 7pm
In this session, we look at how to apply for student finance and student funding. Covering everything parents need to know about student finance, their role in it, paying for university and how their child will be financially supported.
Eligibility
This event is open to parents who have a child in Year 12 or 13 at a state school/college.
